EUR/USD rises back above 1.1100

FXStreet (Córdoba) - EUR/USD picked up momentum and climbed back above the 1.11 mark at the beginning of the New York session as the dollar weakens across the board despite better-than-expected durable goods orders numbers.

Following a short-lived pullback, EUR/USD bounced back above the 1.1100 level but it has stayed a few pips short of its European session peak of 1.1112. At time of of writing, the pair is trading at 1.1095, up 1.05% on the day.

The euro was underpinned by strong German IFO survey earlier on the day, while the dollar is among the worst performers as investors await the FOMC monetary policy decision and the GDP numbers later this week.

EUR/USD key levels

In terms of technical levels, EUR/USD could find immediate resistances at 1.1112 (Jul 27 high), 1.1124 (Jul 9 high) and 1.1195 (Jul 13 high). On the flip side, supports are seen at 1.0968 (Jul 27 low), 1.0925 (Jul 24 low) and 1.0900 (psychological level).
